Ha! The exact same thing happened to me–woke up at 4:30AM and thought the exact same thing!

Victoria–I love that you check on it during that week between Christmas and New Years–I was thinking of doing the exact same thing. I’m also working on learning how to use the stuff in my emergency kit. Hello pocket knife can opener!

Wonderful information on Emergency Preparedness. I have had some experience in preparing, but thankfully, haven’t had to use it yet. It’s good to freshen up and re-read these important tips each year so it’s fairly ready in our minds. I choose the week between Christmas and New Years to review my kit and re-prepare. Thanks for your information. So helpful.

thank you so much for the post. i spent yesterday afternoon putting a lot of mine together after i woke up at 4:30 am thinking ‘what would i do if an earthquake hit right now!’ just thinking about how i wouldn’t know where my little one’s shoes were sent me into a panic (and i live in LA, duh. get prepared!) i still need to get the hand-cranked radio!

oh and i’ve added tequila and dominoes to my big orange bucket 😉
