The Vintage Book Shelf :: Beware of the Dog!

This week I have an awesome little book to share with you called Beware of the Dog! Written in 1968 by Christine Woyke and illustrated by Stina Nagel, it’s a super cute story about a little girl who is afraid of her neighbor’s dog that she can’t see but can hear (on the other side of the fence). Don’t worry, it has a happy ending!

As usual, I am especially loving the clothes the kidlets are wearing. Some hip little kiddos!

Um, Alix… I TOTALLY REMEMBER READING THIS BOOK and wanting a dog. This is why I love Alix’s bookshelf. Not only do you feature wonderful vintage books, but every now and then you come across a book that was so near and dear to me and I get all happy snappy in my heart!

I have been searching and searching for this book for a long time. It was my favorite book when I was in kindergarten in 1969! I am very happy to have found it.
