A few months ago we went to Disneyland and OOOOH was it a blast. It can be a bit overwhelming traveling there with kids, so I have a big ol’ TWO PART-Part post going up Wednesday and Thursday with all my tips and tricks. Are you planning on hittin’ up the Magic Kingdom this summer or fall? Do you have any questions? Please feel free to post ’em in the comments and I’ll be sure to answer them in my post!
(We don’t look that happy but I swear it’s just we are squinting in the glare of the sun!)
(This is Wolfie’s, “Stop taking pictures mama and get in the tea cup!!” face.)
It’s a fact. Pretzels taste even better when they’re shaped like MICKEY.
Um so yeah….we had a great time! Whenever I go, my photos are always a bit all over the place….and that’s how it should be. You need to spend the day having a blast and taking it all in—not just snapping photos. We usually go for two days but this was a one day trip. Our boy was exhausted by the end of the day, but as you can see by the smiles, we loved every minute of it!
OK, so don’t forget to ask any questions you have! I’ll definitely answer them tomorrow and Thursday!
would love to know where you stay when you go! I was just there a few months ago and we stayed at the Queen Mary in Long Beach and then did Disneyland for the day after we checked out, but are considering going back for “just” a Disney trip and staying somewhere a bit more practical (or at least closer.) From there we went to the Wigwam in Rialto CA that night, so it was a bit of a whirlwhind.
Yes! Hotel tips for sure!
Wolfie and the pretzel. And his pretzel havin’ face.
that is all.
xoxoxo
Alix, I hand it over to you for making me love Disneyland again. I had fallen out of love with the place even though I adored it as a kid. We used to go on free journalists passes my Dad had every year and it was a blast. But somewhere in my twenties my family fell out of love with Disney and called Mickey Mouse, “THE RAT” and would tremble with fear when any of our kids would fall under his spell.
But through the past year and all of your amazing Disney posts, like this one, has me gunning to go to Disneyland with the Peach!
“The Spell” ! Yes! So funny Dottie…being a musical theatre nerd we would always sing (to the tune of Che’s line in Evita)…”Get them while their young Mickey get them while their young” !
You guys are so freaking adorable! Love it.
Oh no, there is going to come a day when my little Hooper is going to make sour faces because I won’t put down my camera?! The realization just hit me. ::sad face:: And I’ll bet those mickey pretzels taste better. Doesn’t everything at Disneyland taste better… and cost more? I’d love to hear some tips for Disneyland on a budget. We’ve wanted to take Hooper, but surely it’s a bit premature and spending all that dough doesn’t seem worth it… so ya, disneyland on a budget and maybe your opinion on best age to introduce the madness that is disney.
Living in Dallas we always had the choice of Disneyland or Disney-world…the hubs and I always chose Disneyland…cuz’ it is the original and therefore in our minds…. the coolest!
We have always tried to go over Thanxgiving… with…X-mas-a-fied rides, nice weather ,and no lines!
Seeing Wolfie’s face makes me want to go again!
ha thanks now I have the song in my head and its right before bed 😉
LOVE these pictures of you guys! Your adorable!!!
Also Disneyland is a sore spot for my heart only because Scott went two years ago on his birthday when he was on a work project in LA, I guess a few years back they let you in for free if it was your birthday. I halfheartedly made him promise me not to go because I didn’t want to miss out on the fun. Its okay I forgive him 😉 I can’t wait for Judah to be old enough to take with us.
xoxo
Your pictures are magical, miss! xo!
