Vacation all I ever wanted!

Hi friends! Summer is coming to Modern Kiddo on the late side. After a very busy crazy year, Alix and I are both taking some vacation trips this August. Actually quite a few…

Between the two of us, we’ll be hanging in a beach town,  relaxing at the lake house, drinking tiki drinks poolside with friends, camping in the forest, and doing some international travel. Wheee!! Can you tell we’re excited? We are!

We’ll be giving updates on our travels here and on instagram (@galexina and @missdottie), so please keep checking in to see where we are now!

Summer is road trip time and I’m sure music lists have been created and ready to get you through that long stretch of road. But before there was the iPod, the cd, the tape, the 8-track, there was THIS:

We’d love to get one for our car, but they seem to cost upwards of $700 on Ebay nowadays, but we’ll think good thoughts and wish we had one of these beauties!
