This is the adorable Emily Martin. She is the brains and talent behind the wildly popular Black Apple Etsy shop. And that’s one of the very special limited-edition alphabet prints she made that we’re GIVING AWAY!

This charming print (“R is for Record Player” “T is for Toast”) is a giclee on textured Watercolor stock. It’s numbered 48 out of 50 and has a beautiful texture with rounded edges. She sells a reproduction of this in other colors on her Etsy site, but this one is the special SOLD OUT collectors edition. Entering is super simple—we’ll be announcing the winner tomorrow (Friday April 2) at NOON!

How To Enter :

Modern Kiddo Giveaway: Black Apple Alphabet Print

We have a most delicious giveaway to offer our wonderful readers today–a limited edition alphabet print from Etsy seller extraordinaire, Emily Martin!

This is one of 50 prints Ms. Martin made, a giclee on textured Watercolor stock in red inks.  She sold them at the SF Renegade fair, where I picked one up saving it for a special person and that person is you, dear reader.  It is numbered 48 out of 50 and has a beautiful texture with rounded edges.  She sells a reproduction of this in other colors on her Etsy site, but this one is the special collectors edition.

What I adore about it is Emily’s very clever choice of words–all very cozy cozy and perfect for your little one’s room.  Q is for quilt. T is for toast. Y is for yawn.  Does it get more snuggly than that? I think not!

Pssst! A secret vintage book giveaway.

OK, it’s not really a secret. But we’ve got a little sumpthin’ sumpthin’ going on with one of our favorite blogs around, Thompson Family Life. Danielle is SO cute and SO creative and SO sassy. She is a brilliant photographer, collects Blythe dolls (which gives her bonus points in my book), is an amazing mum AND operates her own business Kitschy Digitals (which you MUST check out! You’ll recognize the big juicy gold frames we’ve been using on our Weekly Kiddo from her shop!). But back to the not-so-secret-secret. Modern Kiddo is giving away a copy of the brilliant book, This is San Francisco by M. Sasek. Originally printed in 1965, the book has gorg illustrations (this is a new copy, so it’ll be pristine!). It’s just a little way of saying “Thank you!” (and give ya a peek at our beautiful city). To enter, skedaddle over to  Thompson Family Life!
