Hurrah for Monday because…

Hi hi folks! Did you have a nice weekend?  We did–filled with trips to the playground, oh so necessary naps, quite a few ballet dance parties and best of all a quick jaunt to the Alameda Flea Market to see Alix flaunt and sell her stuff. I’m still kicking myself over not grabbing that stain glass Enid Colllins bag! Shoot!

But of course I spent a bit of time online looking for some fabulous vintage goodies. And those I did find! Hurrah!

So, on with the Shooooooow!

Oh, to have a movie camera as a kiddo.  Like this vintage Fisher Price movie camera.  From Jinxxy’s Junk.

I must still have Target’s Missoni Madness on my mind because I love this great seventies vintage zig zag sweater! This is one of those that I’d love in my size… Sigh!  From Etsy seller, Ms. Tips!

These red sneakers are the epitome of childhood to me.  And they are unused, and a bigger size than the normal ones we see today.  Please someone, scoop these red beauties up! I’ve been looking for this exact pair for the Peach for over a year. From Etsy seller, Sweet Shop Vintage.

Woefully, the Peach has exited her fireman stage for the ballerina stage, or I would have bought these delightful trio of vintage books about firemen.  From Etsy seller, Lady Libertine Vintage.

This vest is killing me! Just perfect with a turtleneck and cords. and little boots.  Want. In. My. Size.  From Etsy seller, Bluebird Lucy’s.

Whoa. This is just whoa.  I love that jaunty little pocket and double breast look of the buttons.  From Etsy seller, Dolls & Robots.

Did you ever own a pair of these? Because if you did, I bet you were the most popular kid at recess the day you brought those beauties in.  Any luck contacting Luke Skywalker with ’em? From Etsy seller, La di Dottie.

Oh lawdy, this widdle vintage coat with its patchwork faux fur is killing me softly with its cuteness.  From Etsy seller, Silver Willow Ranch, who by the way, has some of the most amazing vintage crocheted afghans–FYI.

Ahh! I totally remember these soft foam puzzles and this vintage butterfly one is such great shape! From Etsy seller, Melanie Peralto.

How great is this vintage number cardi? In the best spanking great red ever!  Perfect for the pre-schooler working on her numbers! From Etsy seller, PirateB00ty.

Happy Monday, folks!

It’s Monday and…

Howdy folks! Did you have a nice weekend? I did!  I was in estate sale heaven today. The lady who lived at this house was very into Hawaii, extremely crafty and into needlepoint as well as sewing.  SCORE! I found some SERIOUSLY awesome stuff—from a needlepoint bag to vintage Hawaiian vinyl to amazing vintage fabric for future craft projects!  Photos are on my Instagram (MissDottie) if you’d like to check out my haul.

In other news, it finally rained in the Bay Area, demanding I make tomato soup and grilled cheese sammies for Sunday dinner with my Peachy sous chef. All in all, a pretty decent weekend.

But offline scores couldn’t keep me from checking out some online goodies today!

You don’t expect me to not include this little gem from our girl, Lishyloo?  I love knits on babies. So cozy!

This snuggly sweater is perfect for nursing a hot chocolate after hitting the bunny slopes.  With elephants to boot! From Etsy seller, Star Friends on Earth!

This stool will get your kiddos up to the sink so quickly!  WANT!  That beats the heck out of the one I bought from IKEA for the Peach. From Etsy seller, Sweet Shop Vintage.

Want something to wear to pick apples? How about this great vintage jacket from Kyssa Vintage?  Pure seventies joy.

Strike up the band with this stunning set of vintage kiddo drums that are just begging to be bought. Heck even put on the bookshelf if you don’t want to hear the noise. So lovely! From Etsy seller, Sushi Pot Parts.

How do you push the girliness up to eleven–past lace and pink? Why add a butterfly of course! Like this little vintage dressie did. From Etsy seller, 3 Ring Circus.

Fisher Price vintage swimming pool? Shut the front door! I didn’t even know that EXISTED! Aww yeah! From Etsy seller, Toys of the Past.

Oh, I loved these HOW & WHY Wonder books!  I want to do experiments with a tin can, a piece of celery, and a balloon! From Etsy seller, AdaLou Vintage.

Who says blue is just for boys.  No one, if they saw this girlie little dressie in the prettiest blue. From Etsy seller, Flour Clothing.

I know mocs are very hot right now for babies and with good reason since they are so soft and malleable to that widdle baby footie. So I hope someone snatches these vintage cuties from Etsy seller, Ms. Tips pronto!

What lil pardner wouldn’t look adorable in this sweet vintage onesie with a cowboy and horse pattern on top?  Cowboy hat not included. From Etsy seller, Dream Vintage.

Happy Monday, folks!

Vintage Kiddo Retro Round Up!

Hi hi everyone! Did you have a good weekend?  I did.  Because it involved more than SIX HOURS of naps throughout the weekend. Hurrah to that!  We also found a little park that offered train rides and had a sweet old carousel which was a wonderful way to spend Sunday morning.  I had grand plans to clean out our attic space, but instead spent it napping. Best idea of the weekend. But of course, I had to spend a bit of time looking for some goodies online to share with you.

And also, Alix and I created the following sweet little logo for our dandy weekly wrap up of vintage kiddo goodies to share with you.  We’ve been meaning to do it since we started it early last year. Oof! But we like it and I hope you do too!

OK, let’s do this!

Globes are crazy hot in home decor, but this little vintage one has the rest of ’em beat because it is a bank as well as a globe! Perfect way to get your little one to start saving for future traveling adventures! From Etsy seller, Sweet Shop Vintage.

I always have a soft spot in my heart for Polly Flinders dresses and this one is the quintessential little girl vintage dress to me. Everything sweet and darling and yummy and back to school charming.  Thank you for sharing it, Etsy seller, Salvage House.

If the recipes are as yummy as the front page design of this sweet vintage kiddo cookbook, then I want to try every one of them. Yay! From Etsy seller, Arcanium Antiques!

Since RSI has gotten in the way of my knitting, I love finding hand knit vintage sweaters for  a song, like this one. And not only is this one in beautiful condition, but it is also a bit wider at the bottom allowing it to fit over those widdle diapered bottoms. From Etsy seller, Little Reader Vintage.

The Peach loves a good umbrella—just like I did when I was a little girl. And I would have plotzed if I had such a cute umbrella at her age. From Etsy seller, Stiletto Girl.

I always adore this type of romper set on little boys. I always get a bit weak in the knees when I see a set.   I know a little Wolfie that would look adorable in this… From Etsy seller, Galivanting Kids.

I’m just head over heels for this little striped vintage dress. I could totally see it with a pair of red keds. To me I could see so many mamas wanting the big version of this dress too!  From Etsy seller, Pretty Retro.

Just because it’s getting cooler doesn’t mean you can’t have  your sweet pink cuteness?  Like this adorable lambie corduroy coat WITH matching hat. Yes, please!  From Etsy Seller, Kid Wonder, Frecklewonder‘s sweet shoppe for the kiddos!

OK. This dress. Oh, this dress. This paper doll dress. I am dying over this dress.  From Etsy seller, Kyssa Vintage.

What better way to get your kiddo excited about going back to school than playing school at home?  And they can with this sweet little Fisher Price school house circa 1971.  School is still school no matter what year.  From Etsy seller, Rusty Wagon Vintage.

Happy Monday, folks!

The Littlest Shop always has some wonderful pieces, but my heart goes out to this vintage jumper featuring fluffy little lambs frolicking all over gingham and plaid mountains.  I. Die.
