It’s the Vintage Kiddo Retro Round Up!

Oh, what a great weekend! It was a weekend of friends–what a treat! Whether it was a playdate that was planned over a year ago or a special birthday viewing of Labyrinth (Happy Birthday Rocketgirl!) or an impromptu lunch with dear friends–it was perfect. And topped with beers with my brother Sunday night.

But through hugging and kissing friends and family this weekend, I did manage to spend a bit of time finding some vintage kiddo goodies to share with all of you!

You know how we feel about vintage Irmi here at the ole MK corral, so you know were went gaga over this sweet little soldier switch plate.  Excellent find, Lishyloo!

I am in love with these little gingerbread man baby coveralls. Could you imagine the squeals from Grandma, when she sees that coming at her Christmas eve? From Etsy seller, Dahlia Daffodil.

Did you hall have a lovely time this weekend? There was a lot hellos and goodbyes this weekend but a lot of fun all around include the fixing of my bike and bike rides! Yay! But more importantly, I had a bit of time to do some online shopping for all sorts of vintage goodies for today’s round up! I think Lish has my favorite item. See below. Tee hee!!!

This dress does something to me.  Somebody, please buy this for a pregnant friend who is expecting a girl. Because it is the sweetest most girly wonderful thing I’ve ever seen!  From our girl Heather over at 3 Ring Circus!

Oh no! Rock’s first family is in big trouble!  But you can read it all thanks for Lish’s great find. Hee hee!  Sadly, the jaunty photo of kids playing their instruments doesn’t really jibe with the title, NIGHT OF TERROR, but I’m willing to go with it.  If you buy it, please tell us how it ends–the suspense is killing me!

With half of the US sweltering, this type of little vintage sun suit looks about just the right amount of clothes for a little girl to wear. Oof so hot! From Nanna’s Attic

I have such a soft spot for Heatlh Tex little graphic shirts. And this umbrella one might be my favorite.

Baby moccasins are a huge trend right now, but it is rare that you can find the original ones, but Ebay seller, Robot Parade 4 Kids found some in beautiful condition and they are cheaper than the one’s I’ve seen in boutiques!  Gorgeous!

These vintage barrettes are killing me!  The lion and the zebra?  So sweet! From Etsy seller, Blue Bird Lucy.

Whoa! Check out this sweet combo–bell bottoms and the grooviest boys top EVER! I think the pieces separately would be terrific additions to any young lad’s combo.  Like that shirt underneath a cool single colored boys t-shirt? From Etsy seller, Mrs. PS Brain.

Sigh, I had to include this jaunty elephant on plaid combo in our round up this week–because really plaid and elephants really DO belong together. From Etsy seller, Tiny Little Bird.

Gray is such a great color for kiddos shoes because it goes with almost everything and isn’t as heavy looking as black.  And could we talk about just how cute they are?  From Etsy seller, Mode de Vie Vintage.

When I see one of these beautiful vintage ride on toys from Fisher Price, I get a bit sad that the Peach has already outgrown them. FIE!  From Ebay seller, Great South Bayer.

Living in SF makes me a firm believer in the power of layers. And Cardigans are perfect for changing fall weather.  Like this perfect little helicopter cardi from Etsy seller, YoungsTeam 1981.

Oh lawdy, I don’t know what the Parker Brothers product team was thinking when they came up with this game.  “Hey Stanley, let’s do a game based on used car salesmen–it’ll sell a million!” Or maybe just four. Thankfully Etsy seller, Shadowmark has the game, Dealer’s Choice for the perfect price of twenty bucks.

I’m tempted to buy it myself, so I can hang this thing in my bathroom. Because it is awesome.

Happy Monday!
