OK, girlies, it’s time for the little ladies!  How rockin’ is this black, nautical sun dress?? I feel like it needs some spunkly little red Converse sneaks to go with it, huh!

Available from the hep cats at Punk Baby Clothes.

This gorgeous romper is a touch pricier but I’m just smitten with the cool graphic pattern.

From the fabulous Kit & Lilli.

Sassy Etsy mama Little Denim sells upcycled dresses made out of denim and organic cotton. Super cute! I love their little signature lightning bolts that are screen-printed by hand.

Teri at Giddy Giddy is one of the nicest, coolest ladies I know. (I was lucky to get to know her this year because her little girl is in Wolfie’s kindergarten class!) I think I was falling asleep as I posted this and my mind was wandering, thinking “Hmmm when should I post the second part? If its noon here, what time is it for east coast besties??” I’m usually not so formal about thangs….)

It’s time again for Widdle Wednesdays

Growing up in the 70s and 80s, personalized goodies were al the rage. But lemme tell you, they never had anything with Alexandra written on them. I was so sad. Etsy seller Jig solves this problem with these really cute customized onesies—any name you like is matched up with a fun graphic. Pretty perfect if you ask me!

I love this little sunsuit from Kit and Lili. The colors are adorable as all get out!

And finally, let’s get really girlie. Black Wagon has this adorable Audrey onesie. I get a little tired with the [HAH! I just realized I never finished that sentence because, I FELL ASLEEP WHILE TYPING. Man.). Well what I was going to say was I get a little tired of overly hipster screen prints, but this one is just a fun, sweet take on that. She’s ubiquitous, but who doesn’t love them some Audrey??

And finally, this little onesie is pram and proper! And so appropriate given Dottie’s stroller post, eh? Pick one of these from Eight3one.

Kiddo Rooms: Color in Canada

Hello gang. It’s baby day at the Kiddo, where we take a gander at all things teensy. Today we have a super cute nursery that I’ve been dying to show off. Now, I’m a big believer that color is always awesome.  That baby boys and girls can survive without living in a pale blue or blush pink world. Don’t get me wrong, I think pastels can be extremely elegant and lovely. But how much more fun to be totally unexpected with your nursery? Like, what would you say if I told you to consider painting your nursery walls GREY? Well don’t answer that until you see this lovely space my friend Virginie in Montreal has created for her wee one. It’s quite the stunner!

I love love love it! The grey is unexpectedly soothing and serene, but then the pops of green and red make it really fun and playful. Virginie is so creative and cool—her little man-on-the-way is going to be a lucky boy for sure!

The sheets were remixed from a pair of vintage 70s fitted “grown up” sheets (so crafty!). The crib is the simple, sleek (and affordable!) Gulliver from IKEA. That mobile? Yup. It’s vintage—and its Fisher Price. (You know we give that the thumbs up!) The wall are are framed animal prints by J. Sharkey Thomas, from 1973. I think you’ll recognize some more Fisher Price on the shelf above the dresser!

That blue velvety chair is vintage and the big mirror is IKEA! You can see a peek of some vintage curtains on the left.

I love her fun diaper bag! (the Dash bag from Skip Hop) And it wouldn’t be Modern Kiddo if we didn’t take a peek into those dresser drawers. Check out THIS amazingly cute collection:

Virginie thank you so much for sharing this gorgeous room with us. We can’t wait to welcome your little kiddo into this big ol’ world!

PS Oh and the walls? The color is a luscious warm grey called Ashley Grey, by Benjamin Moore.

Yup! It’s That Time of The Week Again…

And this week, friends, we are going to focus in on one particular area of supreme baby kootness! Those widdle footies! The ones you just want to nom on and kiss all day long.

Although it is a shame to cover those little sugarfooties* up,  let’s do it in style with the nice selection we pulled together for your viewing pleasure–all available in sizes 0-12 months. And we’ve come a long way from those white ankle boots of yore.

These Zid Zid Eco Moroccan booties are just killing me with their sublime yumminess. I like the blue pair the most.

I’m in love with these Livie & Luca pink Holland boot. It kinda has that old school feeling to it that is making me that I. MUST. OWN. THEM. Why do you make me suffer so, Livie and Luca?

Right now my husband is in love with tweed, so I expect that he’ll buy these tweedy numbers for the Peach as soon as I post this. Sigh.

I think red and brown is such a great color combo–it reminds me of little red robins.  And in these tiny loafers, well, they are just stinktown cute.

Robeez are a baby shower staple for good reason–particularly when they put such wacky adorableness on their shoes, like this knighted fox pair–what a hoot!

Oh, but then I went to Etsy and lost my mind is baby shoe adorableness.  Crafters throw down the gauntlet of button cuteness when it comes to baby shoes.  Let me share a few with you…

Etsy seller, Garden Alley is cranking the cuteness level up to 11 with this embroidered pair:

FIE, Etsy seller, Gracious May–you are churning out some serious cuteness over at your shop! I don’t know what is cuter–the little foot or the little robot shoe over the foot?

And what about this Mary Jane or this kitty ones?

I have a not so hidden love of ticking fabric. And to use it for this tiny tiny shoes? Genius, Etsy seller, Cutienesser.

Nothing says love like knit booties, right? Etsy seller HandknitHugs is rocking my world. How could she not with these two cozy posie pairs that say love luv LOVE?   I’m dying here.

And you know how I love a good upcycled sweater? Well, pair that with baby booties and you end up with this little bit of awesomeness, the town boot from Etsy seller, Wooly Baby.

I broke a tooth on this cuteness!

*My mother grew up in the South and Sugarfoot was a term of endearment, so it was tossed around a lot in my childhood with smiles and cuddles. But as an adult, whenever I use the phrase anywhere else, I get looks of complete horror. Please bring back that awesome phrase. And say it with a Southern drawl for effect!

Hey baby, it's Wednesday!

Oh ho ho! So you like the babies eh? Awesome. Widdle Wednesdays is back! Today we are taking a look at some more fun and unexpected baby goodies—with nary a typical baby pastel in sight. Because this week is Wolfie-Palooza and we’re giving a nod to my little man’s 6th birthday, I tried to find cute unisex goodies…but be on the look out for thee cutest girlie onesie I’ve ever seen. Seriously,  you’ll loooove it. On with the tiny treasures!

First up: I think these sweet animal silkscreens from Colette Kids are really fun and bold. I bet kids will love ’em too.

Urban Baby Runway does a great job of being hipstery without being lame or inappropriately adult. Their designs are graphic and stylie but still insanely cute.

Holy smokes, how incredible is this moustache onesie!! Seriously, this would look adorable on a boy OR a girl. From Handsome Howard.

I’m totally loving these sporty cool baby tube socks from Hank & JoJo. And yes I just used “sporty” and “cool” in the same sentence. Enjoy it while it lasts, people.

This clever little line from I Heart Guts is a super playful and fun. Their tees feature these totally Japanesque little characters of yer innerds….hey, I’m a liver not a fighter.

STOP THE PRESSES!! Ok, these little Marie Antoinette onesies are probably the cutest thing I’ve ever seen!!! I’m crazy about cameos and if you’re gonna do a pastel, then THIS is the way to do it! Etsy Seller Lou and Lee was closed for a few months, but her shop is scheduled to re-open today. Fingers crossed you can scoop these perty thangs up!

OK, all I have to say about these shoes is WOW. Acorn Toy Shop has blown me away with their adorable cowboy boots and then those metallic wing boots? In gold or silver they are pure shiny goodness. I feel like I need to make a bad pun for this two….like “You’ll be shouting High Ho Silver (and Gold) Away!” Hyuck hyuck.

Aw, who doesn’t love a Mix Tape! HeatherJeany‘s take on this is really sweet.

Funky cool clothing with vintage and retro fabrics….that’s what groovy brand Oishi-m [Oy-shee-em] is all about. The little denim leggings are soooo great.

Wolfie and I love Julius the Monkey and he’s had a Small Paul hoodie pretty much every year since he was two. These Paul Frank for Target onesies are a steal at $6.99. Talk about crazy affordable cuteness.

Oh Jasper Wren, how rad are you and your felt goodies??? These are so adorable. I love the fairytale kinder vibe of these Black Forest cuties, but the octopus with the ‘stash is my favorite! (again with the moustaches….)

OK, that’s all for our little Baby Talk session! Hope you had as much fun as I did.
